Taguspark and SNBA announce Open Call for Artistic Residencies

MAU - Museu de Arte Urbana do Taguspark announces the opening of applications for the next two editions of the MAU-SNBA Artist Residencies. The 2nd edition will begin on May 7th and the 3rd edition is scheduled for September 8th.

The initiative is aimed at artists interested in developing or expanding their projects, boosting contemporary expressions at Taguspark - Cidade do Conhecimento.

The MAU-SNBA Artist Residencies welcome artists from a wide range of expressions, reflecting the disruptive and innovative spirit of Taguspark - City of Knowledge. During their stay, residents can organize events open to the public, promoting new artistic dynamics.

For Eduardo Baptista Correia, CEO of Taguspark, the continuity of the program reinforces the commitment to the creation and dissemination of contemporary art, consolidated by the partnership with the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA). João Paulo Queiroz, president of the SNBA, highlights the importance of the initiative in creating opportunities for emerging artists and promoting art among the Taguspark community.

Lasting four months, the residencies offer a creative space where artists - individual or collective - can deepen their artistic practice around a theme previously defined in the application.

• The updated portfolio
• The theme to be explored in the project
• Motivations for residency
• Indication of the desired edition (May or September)
