Starting today, the exhibition “Touch” by artist Clo Bourgard is open to the public at Taguspark. As the name suggests, the exhibition uses art to revisit the year 2020 and what we missed out on. It features two sculptures, three thought-provoking art installations, and a central installation that reflect this exploration of human interaction. On view at the Central Hub through March 12.
“Touch” is a journey into the world of emotions. It is an attempt at communication between an inanimate object and the complex workings of our understanding of emotional survival, free from artifice. At a time when the “fast-thinking syndrome” is all the rage and it is no longer considered appropriate to wait and understand, this exhibition explores the theme of emotion through art. To discover what we were missing in 2020.
"2020 was a year marked by the devastating pandemic, which led to global social and economic disruption. It has caused chaos, cancellations and postponements. Culture has been largely affected and from that perspective, we need to communicate through it, through visual and cognitive pathways of understanding emotion. Touch is for later," he says of the Clo Bourgard exhibition, which also asks each visitor to "leave a message for 2021". The exhibition brings together two sculptures, three provocative art installations and a central installation, and will be on display in the atrium of Taguspark's Núcleo Central until March 12.
