Curated by Binau, the exhibition features a collection of paintings that draw on dark humor and bring to life the hidden depths of the artist’s mind. “All in my Head” will be on view at the Taguspark Central Hub from September 7 to October 21, and admission is free.

With an innocent and somewhat childlike style, where garish colors stand out, “All in my Head” presents a family of misshapen characters that find completeness and balance in their asymmetries, color palette, and macabre appearance, satirizing the superfluous, routine, sense of belonging, and traditionalism. This creative work seeks to bring the audience’s emotions to the surface, challenge the viewer’s perception, and encourage them to reflect on the creation of beauty standards and the concept of identity.

Born in the 1990s, Binau began his career at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, but quickly moved into the world of illustration and visual arts. His artistic universe is shaped by the influences of punk and Dadaism and can be categorized as trash-pop. His work places special emphasis on the creation of misshapen, mutant characters that coexist in dystopian settings.

Binau's presence in Taguspark is part of the MAU - Museum of Urban Art, which aims to promote critical thinking and contribute to the well-being of those who visit and work in the City of Knowledge.
