Taguspark and SNBA announce Open Call for Artistic Residencies

MAU – Taguspark Urban Art Museum announces the opening of applications for the MAU-SNBA Artistic Residencies.

The initiative is aimed at artists interested in developing or expanding their projects, boosting contemporary expressions at Taguspark - Cidade do Conhecimento.

The MAU-SNBA Artist Residencies welcome artists from various fields, reflecting the disruptive and innovative spirit of Taguspark – City of Knowledge. During the residency, residents can organize events open to the public, promoting new artistic dynamics.

For Eduardo Baptista Correia, CEO of Taguspark, the continuity of the program reinforces the commitment to the creation and dissemination of contemporary art, consolidated by the partnership with the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA). João Paulo Queiroz, president of the SNBA, highlights the importance of the initiative in creating opportunities for emerging artists and promoting art among the Taguspark community.

Lasting four months, the residencies offer a creative space where artists - individual or collective - can deepen their artistic practice around a theme previously defined in the application.

The submission deadlines are November 15 for the January to April edition, March 15 for the May to August edition, and July 15 for the September to December edition.
