Miniclip, the world leader in digital games, announces the expansion of its global operations with the inauguration of new facilities in Portugal, at Taguspark - Cidade do Conhecimento. The result of a turnkey project by Taguspark.

Miniclip, which has been operating in Portugal since 2010, is now taking another step towards growth in Portugal. With a focus on hiring highly qualified talent, the multinational has doubled the number of employees in our country in the last three years. These new facilities allow for even greater expansion in the coming years. The new building has capacity for around 350 Miniclippers, with the architectural design by Openbook, project management by Alphalink and contracting by DST.

Miniclip's new facilities in Taguspark are one of the few buildings in Portugal to achieve WELL and LEED certification, promoting a workplace of excellence. The building will run on 100% electricity from sustainable sources and will have filtered water points available every 30 meters. In addition, the facilities also include a gym, a wellness studio, a massage room and, soon, an urban vegetable garden.

For Marius Manolache, Miniclip's Chief Operating Office: "On our path of global expansion, we are delighted to announce the opening of our new premises in Taguspark. Miniclip has made a significant investment in the gaming industry in Portugal since setting up its operations in 2010, having almost doubled its team. These new facilities demonstrate the continued growth and commitment to maintaining investment in this geography. We look forward to welcoming all our Miniclippers in Portugal to their amazing new home."

Eduardo Baptista Correia, CEO of Taguspark, says: "The inauguration of the new offices at Taguspark offers Miniclip world-class facilities. The building's extremely contemporary design conveys an image of innovation and technology. It is yet another demonstration of the excellent position of Taguspark - City of Knowledge in hosting the world's most demanding technology companies."

Rodrigo Sampayo, architect and partner at Openbook, says: "The architectural and interior design project for Miniclip's new offices in Taguspark was an extremely challenging project for Openbook. We worked closely and meticulously with the Miniclip and Taguspark teams to create unique spaces that reflect the latest workplace trends."

The inauguration of the new facilities in Taguspark is a demonstration of Miniclip's ambitions for development and growth in Portugal.
