"Wonderland", by Maísa Champalimaud, is the next exhibition to be presented at Taguspark's Núcleo Central as part of MAU - Museu de Arte Urbana. Opening on October 3, the space will host the show by the artist who explores new creative processes based on the systematic and monochromatic use of oil pastels.

Maísa Champalimaud consistently works on perfecting a technique, in a kind of obsession, fascination and fixation that has defined her career over the last ten years. In a universe of colorful tones in lime green, reddish pink, lilac, blue and yellow that reflect her creative energy, the exhibition celebrates the act of experimentation.

The body of work to be presented at Taguspark represents a creative phase that originally began when Maísa was using oil pastels on photography. At the time, she was inspired by travels to develop landscape images that captured, through a photographic eye, figures among vegetation, mountains and Asian markets. Over time, and through trial and error, Maísa insisted and perfected the technique, experimenting with it on different surfaces.

This exhibition reflects the artist's aesthetic of colors and sensations, inspired by her travels, her emotional memories and her evolutionary path that culminates in the closing of a cycle. A path that was spontaneously completed.

With free admission, "Wonderland" is part of the context of MAU - Museum of Urban Art, which aims to promote critical thinking and contribute to the well-being of those who visit and work in the City of Knowledge.
